So………..Last Friday i hired the infamous Dale Dorning for 4 hours to tap into his brain and learn some make-up tricks and techniques from the master himself. Dale has worked as a succesful hairstylist & make-up artist for years, and celebrities he called friends include Delta Goodrem, Rikki Lee, Sophie Monk just to name a few. He is the first guy “they” call whenever the big celebrities come to town for music shows, stage shows or just celebrity appearances. The dude is a genius at the “no make-up, make-up”, at glowing skin, and at making theses celebrity ladies look almost super human by layering different textures of foundations, powders, luminisers, highlighters and shading. I was exhausted after the 4 hours (i did 3 models, where he did 1/2 the face & i the other). I was like a 4 year old sitting on the edge of the chair listening to a class held by Elmo. I loved every second of it! The photo’s didnt turn out great, but i just wanted to see how the skin looked on camera. (my poxy wee camera). This was all practice for a photoshoot i’m doing with Dale and one of his well know Photographer friends where i get a top Adelaide Model to “paint” and professional pics for my portfolio.
