Last month I was contacted by Ainsley Cahill from Arthritis Australia………Why you may ask?………..
Ainsley is collaborating a book to create awareness about Arthritis. The book will feature black & white pictures and stories about everyday people living with Arthrits from all ages and walks of life. Ainsley chose someone to represent each state, who then got their hair and make-up done for their very own photo shoot with photographer Ross Coffee. Each person has their picture taken with their respective Member of Parliament, in this case it was Kate Ellis who is the Minister for Early Childhood Education, Child Care and Youth and Minister for Sport here in SA. South Australia’s candidate for the book was a young girl called Sarah. (Since then, i have been called back to make-up a different girl called Renee as Sarah will no longer feature in the book for reasons I’m unaware of.)
The book is being officially launched at Parliament house in Canberra in March, and once it is all compiled i will receive my copy
Kate Ellis is an incredibly busy, very well spoken, influential and professional young woman. Such a great opportunity to rub shoulders with her!
The shoot took place in her office and It was like a scene from a movie. I was busy blending into the background doing her hair and make-up whilst she was conducting an interview with Sarah and Ainsley.
After the shoot, Ross Coffee the photographer showed me his portfolio which was super impressive and included shots of the likes of many Hollywood A listers.
What a great opportunity to work with such great people for such worthy cause!
